"The alternative pop-rockband Collect Call From Mars originated as a rock formation with a little nod to funk. After the band had conquered the stage in Amsterdam and surroundings, they'd decided to move into an entirely new direction and develop a sound which resonated more with the times. This sound is like a gathering of all the different musical backgrounds which each of the members bring into the fold and describes itself best as a mix between Metric and The Noisettes.

Although the band knows its way around the studio, the stage is where they really get a chance to shine. All band members approach a show as if it were their last which shows in the energetic performance they bring to the table. Stacey Rookhuizen once described it as watching a live music video.

Their attention to the visual side of things may make the band stand out. Although the decisive factor really lies within the band's versatility, ranging from grand and edgy on the one side, to small and vulnerable on the other.
